As I described above, you can link pages by Anchor texts. Now let us see how search engines use anchor text to index your post on major search engines. Once you placed an Anchor Text as a hyperlink the search engine bots go through those links from one page to another. At this point they read the anchor text and index that particular page on right category of the search engine. When placed these Anchor texts with hyperlinks on different website, it is considered as backlinks or incoming links. Those backlinks are the key on getting good Google PR.

Why do we use keywords as Anchor Texts?

When going bit deep into SEO, it is important to optimize your blog for search engines with keywords. Key words are the words that people use to search a product. If you have backlinks with keywords as anchor texts it will improve your position on SERP. Am I confusing you? Don’t think too much, just remember to use keywords as your anchor texts. That’s enough. But select your keywords very carefully. That’s all what you want to know.

Google likes natural backlinks rather than the spam links. So they index natural links more. If you used the same anchor text everywhere, major search engines consider those links as spam links. So always use different anchor texts to create backlinks

2. Always use keywords of your blog as Anchor texts

Then you can improve the position of your blog on SERP easily for a specific keyword.

3. Only add relevant links as Anchor text

Never ever add irrelevant pages to visit by clicking anchor texts. People don’t like to visit non relevant stories to a particular post. It will make a bad experience for your reader. So don’t forget to add only the relevant links.

4. Always use appropriate colour for your anchor text

It is better to show the reader it is an external source they are going to visit by clicking on your links. It makes your blog user friendly and makes your blog popular.
